My favourite candy jar....

....and my eternal quest for perfection in caramel creation. Here is what I think about caramel.
Once upon a time in a country far away there was a humble candy chef. His name was Werther. Or so I imagine......beacouse only a clean soul and big heart can create such a perfect taste like a tiny little Werthers Original I think.

Well whatever your conclusion would be....here is  a humble caramel recipe:

Ingredients:
200gr white sugar
3 tbs of water
5ogr of unsalted butter
100ml of double cream
1/2 tsp of salt

Heat the pan with sugar and water while stiring constantly. Let it bubble and slowly turn caramel golden color. At that moment add double cream and lower the heat. Continue mixing until all the caramel is dissolved in cream. Add salt. In the end turn of the heat and add the butter. It will round up the salty caramel and let it achive an out of this world creamy sauce texture. Feel free to adjust the recipe.
Use the caramel as you like. It works best eaten out of a jar with a tea spoon. It helps in most cases.
